Yeah, screw that. I write about a few topics , I don’t usually leave that lane, but if I feel compelled to write about something beyond my “niche”, I’m gonna do it. Keep doing you, bud.

You couldn’t have said it any better. Selling creativity back to the creator is such a crazy but revealing way to put it. But the beauty about true creators, regardless of the pain we experience is that we are in it for the long haul. This is a lifestyle not a way to make dough.

I don't take writer workshops or follow gurus. Most of them are people who know quite well that appealing to a writer's aspirations is very lucrative these days. And they want in on the yummy cash.

If you want to learn from a writer, that's great. But don't buy their workshops where they tell you what worked for them. Read their work.

That's right. Cheaper and easier. Read their work, not their rule book. That's where you may get inspired. And if not, read something else
